Woke up this morning to a message off one of the lads who's got one of the pups I bred in April last year. Says he's doing well at bushing. This was this morning In local wood managed to get a grey.. Turning out to be a nice dog. At first he was abit worried because out of all the little this was the pup that had the aggressive behaviour against its siblings to the point it would go for them just for fun. A month ago I had a phone call saying he's just too head strong when out with the lads he's going for there dogs but not only that when , a go to put him in his place goes for me too lol . For me that's what I'd want a head strong dog that takes no shit. I've the sibling bitch and she's the same puts the bigger dogs in there place she's class.

Ok having them a bit feisty but it will lead to problems especially if they go against bigger dogs mate,  the pups looking well

So you'd want a dog that fights with other dogs when you go out bushin and not only that you'd want it to go for you as well when you try and stop it. Sounds like it wants whackin on the head with a shovel and lobbin over the back fence to me

Think its a case of a little dog getting away with things lol. If that was a 30k bull cross it would be viewed differently. The little JR here was the best dog of my life time and wasnt a fighter but he was the boss. Lucky for him here the big fella was a gentle soul lol

Found dog's that just want to fight other dogs are usually shite bushing and working dogs i wouldn't have a dog like that around me for a gold pig.

Had a couple of terriers that were a nightmare with other dogs, one Booth bred the other a Massarella bred Russel. both brilliant workers but got rid of both as to me and my style of hunting at that time. They just did not suite.

I can't keep fighters or growlers as most times all our dogs load up together on spots .my mate had a patterdale that hated his lurcher. Ended badly one day when the lurcher finally snapped.

Can you enlighten me on how you come to that view on dogs. Because I've know few lads dogs that don't like to be around other dogs in motors get aggressive so have to keep them split up grand workers though. Look at wolf's what do they do , if other wolf's stray in that aren't in the pack ? It's one of them things all dogs have that aggression in them. It's upto the owner to socialise them with other dogs more than just going out working.

That's what a mean by loading up in motor some dogs are a nightmare. Your hoping to go home with all digits lol

A want a dog that can hold its own. And that talk about hitting a dog over head then lobbing over the fence. Come on pal you wouldn't do that. Lol You got a few likes for the comment though. Love it when lads said they'd do this and that but when it comes to getting rid of shite dogs they've got kennels or the house fulls of shite. I know a few that have dog after dog diffrent breeds none of them work.

See a working dog fighting dogs it's just a liability guess if your digging you can control that but for your line of work bushing hunting your dog needs to be off the lead to do it you'll either be breaking it off your pals dogs or if you bump into someone walking there dog will get it don't get why you'd want a feisty one for bushing rabbits anyway give it a good timbering put manners into it

That’s what his pal wants to do as they ain’t that old yet and better getting bad habits out the way young rather than leaving it to later and a dog hurting it or worse.

I have had dog aggressive terriers at times but they became a liability to own and ended up rehomed or pts depending on the dog itself
