Not clear here, Mack, are you saying ALL non native big cat sightings in the uk have been black, and in open fields, most of them being in daylight?

I can't recall any being spotted, can you, which basically dismisses Greyman's theory about hybridisation.

Fck off I genuinely want to learn I'm not having 25 thl spackers walking behind us taking the piss 🤣🖕

Just my opinion, but bringing family into arguments , by ANYONE, is an absolute no-no. Cheers.

Not judging by the amount of Fanny’s on here ?

"The urban fox’s are the smaller by 40% mate go figure, "

I guess if you are considering city  environmental conditions, things like unhygienic conditions, dodgy diet and secondary  poisoning from rat baits come into consideration .

Then again  a smaller ,short - legged fox could have  advantages in the city .

Hiding in small spaces ,hunting rodents in cramped conditions ,licking dead pigeons off the road ,crawling under wheelly bins and stealthily stalking dead kebabs,  favours a small animal with its  head near the ground .

Taking Vesey Fitzgerald's localised study of urban foxes in the early 60s as a convenient start point ,that gives foxes over fifty years to acquire the  degenerate habits and appearance of underbelly city dwellers .20240708_114515.jpg.10d4b5f74d2f979f49af58096478843d.jpg

Ok , now for .... A theory a  what is mine   . One that might sound daft......

City foxes are exposed to greater risk  of traffic accidents than their country cousins.   A big  fox is  likely to be killed or badly injured if it's  run over.   A little fox has more chance of ducking and being passed over unscathed...Hence lives to breed...... A small factor  maybe.

Urban foxes are not  anything near being a subspecies . The term "Urban Form" is more appropriate .

There was a woman in Kent some years ago lived in a remote cottage and had cat activity around her, she got a couple of pics on early trail cams of a cat in the front garden against a fence for scale which wasn’t bad and an all edged spotted one in woods nearby, though I suspect that it had probably been zoomed in on and pixalted the picture giving the appearance of rosettes but it’s the only one I know of and have seen personally seen black ones you could see the rosettes through the black though,

Why open the topic if it bothers you that much? Seems like you’re after a bit of attention from reading some of you’re posts
