Dout it, It was one evil gremlin of a dog, the foxes shit themselves when that ugly gremlin stuck its head round the corner they thought they were having some kind of acid induced nightmare and bolted

Galgo Español - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG four to five thousand a year bred for competitive coursing and lots more for hobbyist etc so the best of the best are well tested.

Maybe people are interested in an old exotic breed and giving it a go working, same as some people enjoy hunting with terrier breeds that are not worked much now. You wouldn't expect them to be as goo

Shame there were so many being slipped in...

Would be nice to run dogs over there on some of the exotic species of antelope and African hare...

If you go give the fools a lesson on how to do it properly n show some respect to there quarry..

I've never run dogs in Spain.

The Spanish recon the iberian hare is better than the brown, they have 3 types out there. The ground would be rested before the competition.

I reckon good hares are good any where.

I've seen two Ibizan hounds in my local forest. One is very aloof. The other (I think it was an Ibizan but my memory could be at fault) was being walked by the owner's wife. She said she tried to talk him out of getting it after hearing about their poor recall. Needless to say, it ran wild and never comes back so she walks it instead.?

Also, more recently, met a lovely friendly sighthound which looked like a sloughi from a distance until I noticed the fully erect ears. It had a whale of a time playing with my kelpie bitch and was pretty agile and well behaved. He said it was a rescue dog from somewhere in the Med (possibly Greece). He was told it was either a pharoah or Ibizan cross but, from the research he'd done, he said he thought it looked more like a podengo. If memory serves me well it was very tall (thought difficult to judge as my kelpie is only about 19") and tan and white gay pied.

Good clip sandy alot can be taken from that run, a hare will only run as fast as its pushed and those dogs are pushing her the whole way over a distance as opposed to tying her up the hare was always in control really and I have to wonder how a good saluki lurcher would have fettled, I do like the Galgorm though and take nothing away from those dogs and the hare they was there until the end and always nice to see a hare make good its escape after going over a few minutes and to then go on and add to the breeding stock..

Like I say it's a good entertaining race and take nothing away from the dogs n hare but alot can be taken from it, the black dogs mouth is also questionable 1/2 dozen good chances he had to kill but wouldn't strike and both dogs bending wide hard ground maybe or there style?
