Probably because he is an amiable guy who doesn't take it too seriously nor throw insults around,kinesics makes it difficult to read a personality from words online.Everyone gets on fine till toys are thrown out of the pram.

He does quite a bit on UK big cats, I think he went to Oz/tas to look for thylacine, been invited to a BBC premier, good naturalist, puts the miles in.

Actually he says on one of his video's that one or two from the FB groups stayed in touch with him, and agree'd with him for the most part. This lad you mention probably one of those? Remember, this young lad has a real interest in big cats. He just wasn't ok with obvious vids/pics of house cats being used as evidence of puma, leopard in UK. 

This chap has good knowledge of wildlife in general. He joins a group or two, points out that said video's and images are obviously that of house cats, and gets booted out.

 It actually does remind me of cultish behavior.

That's how it goes lad. We f**k it up, and try fix it. When it comes to wildlife, and conservation, it's what most of us on here do, in some form or other. Reduce numbers of one species to help improve another, or to reduce numbers that are deemed by us humans to be too high. It'll never balance out, once WE are on the planet.

That article I put up with the women in Portsmouth shows the potential for animal rights to set free a decent amount .Most would be caught but like the mink ,some would stay free .

Very Sceptical.  But never say never, a few perhaps, but this 5000 number seems bonkers.

Scotland was news to me, but I am aware of a handful around the Henley on Thames area that escaped from a private collection a long while back now.   They don't seem to be expanding much and very few sightings reported, they may be on the way out!

I’ve not listened to the video but there was wallaby’s on an island in Scotland was uproar as someone went over and shot load with air gun and just left the bodies there
