Any money a paper could give you just wouldn’t buy the lifetime access to the opportunities and generational wealth these lads have. I used to have a little wander out with some of those lads and they were to a man, sound as you would find, brilliant lads…..but from a completely different social echelon ! First off they don’t need the money and secondly doing something as seedy as going to a paper whilst at the same time completely betraying your whole social circle would be tantamount to ruin for them and their family’s……they would be outcast from what is a fairly small club to start with. It would be like you going and doing a story about your family and friends, you’d be welcome nowhere again and more than that you wouldn’t be welcome in your “world” anymore. What ? Terrier men and farm staff? Edited yesterday at 18:50 by Bendigo

Even the lads I met who were not from privileged backgrounds were part of the social circle and benefitted, be that agri contracting, fencing, machine work, farm management……that circle is small mate and it’s not a great mental leap to know that if you f****d one that’s you done, so imagine f***ing over the biggest one of the lot. Utter pricks don’t last long in them circles mate and not long enough to do damage. Just my own personal experience of course.
