The way we've treated Moyse is f****n disgusting....im not against a new manager it probably is the right time but theres ways of doing things and the man deserves respect and a good send off yet we'v

West Ham fans in town all day and not a murmur until wives/families get attacked by " ultras " at the game itself.....embarrassing !! There was a handful of chaps on each stairwell stopping them

My Hammers will struggle this year ,some fans want Moyse gone but personally i cant see the point we have a manager thats proved he can improve the club, owners willing to throw money at it.....at what

That was some game Charts, fantastic to watch.

On another day you’d have dug out the win and what a win it would have been…..if you had managed that you’d have been talking about that game for years to come.

That last night was everything good about football.

"Fine margins" as Howe said.

Wilsons saved effort and hit the bar twice. No good crying about it though, we wanted to be amongst the big boys and we are.

we were worried about relegation two seasons ago, so I'm not going to worry about losing 1-0 in the Champions League.

The atmosphe in town last night was great. The Germans were in the bars mixing with the Newcastle supporters unlike the French at the PSG game.

Three more games in the group, I'll enjoy the ride, however bumpy it gets !

Cheers.

I was very impressed by Dortmunds fitness levels, the press and the speed of their counter…..not bad for a team in a “farmers league” huh ?

That’s not to take anything away from Newcastle because they matched and in periods, outmatched them every step of the way but it’s just sort of expected in the premier…..that said, some teams do it well and other don’t and Newcastle most certainly do.

With nights like that, Howe would probably want the England job about as much as he’d want an attack of hemerroids ! Lol

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes as well.

The street in front of the Gallowgate end used to belong to Newcastle, but Ashley sold it for a quick profit. The Saudis have bought it back and have got permission from the council to build a “fan zone” with licensed bars and food outlets and giant screens for around 3,500 people right outside the ground.

People wonder why St. James park is such a weird shape, it’s because of the grade two listed street behind the east stand whose residents have always objected to the stand going any higher. Now the Saudis are in discussions with the residents and council to pay their council tax if they drop their objections.

Money speaks all languages, as the saying goes !

Cheers.

To me that’s all a bit standard, but I am a big fan of where they are spending money in the most important places.

They have given Howe the back room staff he wants by not only by accommodating the people he wanted to bring with him (which Celtic wouldn’t do I read) but by adding a top class analyst from Liverpool and nutritionists and all manner of other people that are required by top class outfits now.

Furthermore they are upgrading their training facilities while looking to build a new state of the art facility and lastly, they are investing more into their academy.

Proper outfits do things properly and I’m always a big fan of that, I have no time for two bob stuff at any level.

PS: I think my little hammers bought a new 8 man tent for the training ground from Go-Outdoors…….£300 reduced to £180 in the autumn sale ! Lol 😂

The main objection to the "fan zone" is from a councillor who says that the noise would be unacceptable to local residents. People who choose to live in a city centre next the big football ground will be upset at the sound of people enjoying themselves! I suspect the real reason is that this person would prefer that Newcastle were known as a city of culture and diversity bla, bla, bla rather than something as uncouth and working class as football. You guessed it she's Labour. But as WILF would say, we voted for her (I didn't but somebody must have).

I lived a stone's throw from Old Trafford when I was a kid. We all knew the score on a match day from the roar of a goal being scored, even when it was just the reserves playing. It was great. It gave us all identity and cohesion.

I used to like the ships in the docks sounding their foghorns at the start of  new year as well. All the ships, fom all over the world celebrating the same event. Brilliant.

I found this hard to believe, but my neighbour who is Newcastles kit manager assured me it was true.

During the Ashley era, at the training ground the players cooled of by getting into wheely bins filled with water !!!

The new owners were aghast and immediately set about upgrading the facilities!

Just imagine telling Messi, Harland Belingham “here I’ll give you a hand up into the wheely bin” ??

Cheers.

As a fan of football, the only negative feeling I have for Newcastle is the sacking of Bobby Robson by ace shithouse Shepherd. One of the greatest managers in the world sacked by a complete shithouse. Shame. I had a lot of time for Robson as a manager,England manager and human being. But as he said : That's football".

We’ve had some dodgy Owners;

Lord Westwood the pirate.

Shephard the scrap metal merchant.

Hall who bribed the council to allow him to build the Metro Centre on top of a toxic waste dump.

No wonder us supporters aren’t bothered by the Saudi ownership !

Cheers.
