Was that Emsworthy Mire Kev? In the valley between Haytor and Hound Tor. Great for the Blue Bells and Cuckoos in a few weeks.

I'm not sure of the name Arry, but parked in the little parking spot that has more craters than the moon! Lol There's a small stream that runs past it and a little bit of pine woodland on the other side, Haytor is further up the road a bit...

We walked up stream for a few miles, through the woods to start, Mrs is aching this morning lol

We had breakfast in the Old Libary in Ashburton, lovely food but a bit pricey...

This is Emsworthy Mire 20th May last year with Becka Brook in the bottom Kev I thought you were following Becka Brook.

Cuckoos every were that day.

The other brilliant place to see the Blue bell at the time is Holwell near Hound Tor about 20 acres out in the open.

Wish I could have got closer it was a bit rushed. As there was a girl twitcher with a bloody great lens there and I didn't want to disturb her. She told me they were nesting around the old farm buildings.

I with you though lovely bird I not seen many.

Yeah, was reading this morning, about eighty have been seen up until this morning, mainly Devon and Cornwall.

Good luck spotting any.  👍

Will keep an eye out mate thanks.

I see a Ringed Ouzel spotted at the spot where I took a photo of the Redstart yesterday.
