Charlie boy will be on the telly appealing to your sense of patriotism and calling you all heroes and to go off and protect his lands and that of his mates.Meanwhile you can't afford to heat your homes. No use criticising the nurses for demanding a pay rise. That's just cheap divide and conquer. Not worthy of you. While I agree with the first part of your comment I don't agree with the nurses pay rise. Most of em were so far up their own arses during the 'pandemic' you couldn't have any sort of discussion with em. They wanted to shut the economy down for 2 years now moaning the economy is fcked. Like I've said.....show me one nurse complaining about the 7 million a day spent on the dingy wogs and I'll support their strike
Neobliviscaris1776 1,998
Left the house at 9am the other day, just the kettle that was boiled and a 2min shower. Came back just after 7pm at night and the smart meter is reading £8.40 for gas and electric.....how is this possible? It's a complete screw job Look forward to seeing what happens when I stop paying

Off you go out the door . for me though , I don’t think I’d want a normal job , I like going into the nonsense and chaos of work daily , you live on your wits and nothing ever gets done to 100 % as the saying goes you just stab the closest crocodile. The pay is probably fair for the actual tangible work involved . everything else is just nonsense , but required nonsense . With respect, that's low self esteem. "I'm paid enough, I'm ever so humble, I'm only a working class lad." Bollocks, you should be able to pay your bills without scrimping. You shouldn't have to ration heating. I remember you writing once that the army was an equal opportunities employer. How can it be when the best ranks are occupied by a particular class? Promotion to the top ranks is denied to working class blokes, no matter how much talent you have.

The UK pays out a lot less than other comparable countries on asylum seekers. Most of the boat people are from countries where the west has been poking its military nose. Many are genuine asylum seekers. Civilised countries have to accept their quotas. We accept a lot less than others. I wouldn't condemn any of them for seeking a better life. One generation ago, my people came across on a boat from Ireland. In any case they are only the tip of the iceberg. It's estimated there are hundreds of thousands of illegal Immigrants in the UK . Check out nail bars, car washes, foreign restaurants. They are there in plain sight. I'm not grassing on anybody. It's not my job to decide immigration/ asylum policy. The powers that be love cheap labour, its more economical than investing in new technology and training. I'm not underestimating the tensions that exist in the northern towns. I've lived there worked with Pakistan immigrants straight off the boats and I know what it feels like to be a token white man. But immigration is just a side issue. jukel123 9,423
I'm not on about how hard they are. I'm on about the fact that almost all ranks above lieutenant are public school and Sandhurst. Comprehensive kids don't figure in their recruitment targets. It's your school, your uni, your accent, your social class which gets you into officer class. Check out the stats. 1

Mate you seem like a decent bloke but you can’t seem to grasp the reality of acceptance .If Stiffy is happy with his lot who the f**k are you to moan at him .I like to think we all carve out a niche in the world with some doing much better than others .The Marxist way of thinking dosnt work .Nobody is equal in this world .There are winners and losers despite what the woke c**ts wants to preach . Your lot is your lot unless youve got the gumption to make it make it better .This so called depression in the economy at the moment only serves to highlight the wasters and culls .Look at at any shopping centre lately ,look at the traffic on the roads ,pubs packed at night and delivery vans everywhere .To blame anyone but yourself in hard times is very weak and points out to those looking the ones that have made nothing of their lives . Acceptance is knowing your position and making the most of it ,moaning on the net that it’s some else’s fault is pretty low in my book .

And long may it be so .How many council reared folk have any amount of decorum or leadership required to fill those positions . You need to have a look at yourself mate .Ask yourself what class your in and what’s yours position in life because it’s sure fire thing that that’s your lot and you ain’t never going to progress whilst others are at fault but not yourself .Anybody grafting well and having the foresight to pay off the mortgage in good time just weathers any shite thrown at them and adjusts accordingly .Those who think the world owe them a living will never get it and rightly so . 2

I thought we all born into a meritocracy. Not into a caste system. You should be promoted on merit and ability. I don't believe a man is better than me because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. This country is riddled with snobbery and an ancient class system. It starts with royalty. We need to modernise and get rid of this stupid system which writes people off before they have a chance. 1

No mate ,we need a return to reality .People arnt equal in brains or upbringing .I see no snobbery ,only a relaxed acceptance they are doing ok . Nobody is born equal mate .You have to work for that right ,something the vast majority don’t seem to grasp . It used to starts at school with sports and such where winners and losers came to the fore very quickly .Nowadays it’s frowned on with everybody being a winner ffs .Thankfully nature still sorts the wheat from the chaff .

How do I know ? I was on a recruiting team . many many many officers are from worse backgrounds than you or I can imagine , I know many officers , rough violent council estate lads who are officers in the military . There is very very little parity as a junior officer regarding sandhurst , the regiment they are assigned to reflects their performance in training and their preferences , the best usually get the infantry where a cadet with a degree in engineering may be steered automatically towards one of the supporting arms . indeed my old troop commander , who I rate as possibly the most intelligent man I’ve ever met , was a rough old valleys boy whose main interests were rugby , the gym , football and boxing , went to the same school as one of the lance jacks , the only deciding factor was that he buckled down an got a first in aeronautical engineering . He would have been wasted as an enlisted man , he was too clever for that game . I’ll just address this here as well that there seems to be a few here that seem to think that the army is like bad lads army . It’s an agile forward thinking modern organisation that imbues and offers young lads from estates the world for two hard rules , don’t take drugs and have a shave . what sone of you think it is , I dread to think .
