It was my misses that pointed out it’d be a nice little detail to full restored bikes to have a builders mark. I sort of thought makes sense if the bikes moved on a few times then someone else is trying to say they’ve built the bike and you can point out your build markings. I have been shot blasting and vapour blasting all morning, grey boogies up both nostrils Lol. fitted an electric oven ( Found after it had ben put out as scrap due to the grill bit not working) its brilliant, chuck the heads in to heat up, fetch them out to paint and then back in to cure the heat resistant paint, game changer, i may even invest in either a powder coat set up or try Kerocoat or whatever its called. Cheers matethee greyboogers what a score on the oven mate makes light work on fitting bearings as well heat cases freeze bearings they drop straight in no need to drive them in. Cerakote is brilliant stuff I done my cases on this engine in cerakote tungsten and the water pump housing in graphite black it’s very good stuff think I paid £200 for a basic kit that came with 3 colours black, silver and burnt bronze it’s very hard wearing as well

I’d always go with manufacturer’s recommendations and start at oem settings these mx bikes have a bit of room to tune them to rider On the rear depending on weight you can get different spring rates for weight of rider then you can set sag you can also set the rebound on the fronts of my bike I’m running air forks originally the bike came with kyb oil forks but I’ve put 2013 showa kxf450 air forks there a lot lighter and more modern technology you can adjust stiffness and rebound I’ve got these set up the oem settings for the 450 on the 125 but I’ll fine tune them for my style once it’s all up and back together Edited Wednesday at 08:42 by poxon
