Thing is in this day and age especially those that work in the gig economy the only way they can get essential items like a car for work or other essential household items is on credit.

That's the way to do it. We have young country blokes now in $100 000 Landcruisers, they have to work 60 plus hours a week in the mines to afford it. Their young wives want a brand new house with high end furniture and appliances so they have to work too. The kids grow up in childcare, neither has time for the kids, the pets or the garden. I liked the old days, everyone had fck all but they had time for the family, for hunting and fishing and I believe they were a lot happier. Money and things don't make you happy, time to breathe does.
