And it seems I’ve found a nice Chinese family to take me in, courtesy of a Chinese friend here in Barcelona. Gonna finalise the details tomorrow etc….. no I’m not fuucking about, I’m going to live with a Chinese family ? Hopefully I’ll pick up some Mandarin and a number 47 with special rice ?

Are you changing your user name to shiitake?

Lol..I remember that myself..now he's looking for a hostel ?

Nah! I’m just not into paying both a mortgage in Barcelona and rent in the center of Madrid, which is about 1000€ a month. Let’s see you fork out 2k a month before bills love ?

Well I’m all in and settled in my jamas… flat’s nice, family are lovely and the area is like the back end of Blackpool ?

I honestly thought I was going to be shouted at by the strange group of 60something year old, never done a days work in their life, putting empty beer cans on top of a car alcoholics. But they were too busy arguing with what I could only fathom as, thin air ?‍♂️ They weren’t even arguing with each other, apart from when they disagreed what thin air said. I sat and watched with a spliff ?

I do love a bit of an adventure ?‍♂️?

I moved last year and used discountmoving.ca/fr/ for the heavy stuff—they were solid and didn’t mess me around with surprise fees. Took a load off during a stressful time. I'm sure you'll find equally good ones in Barcelona. Make sure to double-check customs rules and paperwork before you go though, especially with animals.

I moved out here two years ago—tough at first, especially with the language, but locals have been sound. Loads more sun, and the food’s spot on. Miss proper bacon though.

I moved back to Barcelona. Couldn’t stand the rain, grey and public transport
