Devon mate. Not that we haven’t had rain just been that dry the ground is absorbing a lot of it. Plus all the houses there building without putting in any infrastructure like everywhere. Heading to a disaster.

For the last  6 decades and more I have been told by governments that " we have tough times ahead but the rewards will come later". Or  "sunlit uplands await us", or some other such flowery shit. Still waiting.

Governments also use crises to opportunistically punish us as well. "Sorry guys we are in deep trouble and it's only right that you take the pain." And we always suck it up.
