Not that we haven’t had rain just been that dry the ground is absorbing a lot of it. Plus all the houses there building without putting in any infrastructure like everywhere. Or "sunlit uplands await us", or some other such flowery shit. Still waiting. Governments also use crises to opportunistically punish us as well.
