Think the water is still a bit cold but I will put a couple of pots out for crays later just to see were they are etc 24 hrs soak then pull them before I leave tomorrow evening

What do crayfish taste like ? I’m thinking the tuna in a sandwich is a safe bet …..

I’m to busy hiding from all the prying eyes in the quarry mate they are a wee bit anal and I’m sure they would kick off if they caught me lol

I don’t like prawns … occasional one in a special chow main is ok like the odd pea

scollops , fish fingers and fish cakes are about as adventurous as it gets .

Next week now it’s light on the evening i might have a flick over the quarry with the metal detector as they scrape all the surface layer to the sides should be some interesting bits about this is the view from the van be a fool to miss it

We’ll differ on that one. Yep mod can get knocked but at least it’s pointing in a safe direction. Used to go out a mate a fair bit, slung rifle the other (wrong) way - amount of times that barrel pointed directly at me if I was behind was unsettling.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one, if your sling is adjusted properly the rifle should only point upwards, a long time ago someone I knew was carrying a rifle upside down and he hadn’t put the safety on and the trigger got caught on a button on his jacket and the rifle went off, he was millimetres away from blowing his foot off with a .308 bullet

I would of said muddy prawns with a hint of grass that’s what they tasted like the one and only time I had them

The water on the Cotswolds is gin clear water filtered through the gravel no foul tastes you need to purge them in a tub of clean water if they come from dirty water mate
