May seem a silly question but what are they like on Rams ?…..is placement a thing for horned beasts ?

Reason I ask is, went to shoot a ram once with a mate using the .22 dispatching pistol and the round bounced off its forehead at point blank range, the thing went potty and when we caught it up again we had to shoot it behind the ear

They do rams easily mate, placement is key, bit feed on floor an they stand nice an still most time, days of shotguns an pistols have gone thank god haha iv heard some horror stories

Finished off clearing the hedge by 1 thought I’d go home until the tarmacers for the driveway job said there wasn’t enough stone in ( they definitely said 120mm ) so off there to put another ton in

About 50 years ago an old mate went travelling and landed a job in an abattoir in Spain he was given a belt with a selection of hammers on going up to a small sledge for cows and horses the Spaniards also found it amusing to stick a horses beating heart down his shirt because he was English and we like horses 😜

Might be the same lad, these are from Richmond, they have a machine that looks like a screeding machine, it will only take them about an hour to do this drive and they charge a fortune, they are taking a days wages for a couple of hours graft, nice work if you can get it 👍
