Hi can anyone give me some advice, I am away up to Durness in October time, I have never really beach casted, well a little a long time ago,

firstly what’s worth fishing for up there in October time, what’s sensible gear to buy for the area, and any method advice would be appreciated.

Any recommendation for a half decent reel for spinning for bass an stuff pal, don’t wanna be spending a fortune but I been using me big spinning rod but I’m gonna buy a bigger reel an then upgrade rod aswel at some point ?

Penn pursuit are nice little reels for 60ish. Penn spinFisher or battles are 80-120ish. Shimano stradics for 150ish. Daiwa bgs for 150ish.

What sort of budget you talking Don?

In all honesty the daiwa ninja reels are pretty cheap and perfect for bass lure fishing, I'd spend more on a decent rod personally.

Ageed, them Ninjas are good reels for not a load of money (£50-£60)...
