What's This Call?

Recommended Posts

Trying out trail cam settings last night, as usual. Dark, blustery night. Foxes and badger about, as usual. Dreadful setting, as it turns out. But, I'll cover that on my dedicated thread.

I've now cut this clip brutally. All we get now is a gust of wind, then the two second call:  Some bird. I don't know what the hell it is! It's got me beat and it's doing my head in!

Could be the wind.  I've heard very similar sounds on Fox calling download sounds......  which don't sound like any natural noises I've  ever heard. If you go and lòok at Foxes calling sounds and trawl through I'm  sure that you will find similar noises.

Arry; I don't know how we're supposed to explain sounds to each other, in writing, mate? But, your LO is just like " Whee - Ooh "

Where as mine has a more 'bubbling', 'trilling' thing going on. Have another listen, with that in mind. You should pick up on what I mean.

I'm wondering Wader, frankly. Whimbrel pass through here, at a given time of year. Dunno.
