Pamplona l

Recommended Posts

The greatest celebration of life on earth. 10 days. I doubt I'll make it this July. My plan is next July. Once as a young man I promised to return but wives and kids and work get in the way.

It's not cheap to find accommodation forthose who demand some home comforts. Once we didn't sleep for 10 days, we slept on streets and park benches if at all....

Can't do that now.

Any one been or anyone care to join the greatest fiesta on earth in 2022?

Bull fighting is great !

But not as much fun as throwing a goat out of a church tower !

Or seeing how many people you can get on the back of a donkey before it collapses and dies under the weight !

All great fun for a Sunday morning with the family before going for a pint !

Well, it is for some Spanish.

Cheers.

The danger is that people say that about us ?‍♂️ We go out on a weekend, with the packs/runners/terriers/guns etc and torture/murder/harass animals.

I'm not comparing hunting with bullfighting but others do ;)

I'd like to have a go and run with em..... Its a tradition is it not? much like hunting before the ban over here.... Could be considered cruel by some standards?

the idea is to run alongside and pat the bull on its back...everybody dresses in white...i would have had a go in my younger days...but folk often get  killed running with them..

folk who live in the town in flats on the streets they run down ...make good money from the tourists letting them watch from the balconys ...

it used to be on telly in the morning whilst the festival was on ...when i was working out there we would sit in the cafe watching it with the staff...and laughing at every fooker that got smashed by a bull...quite entertaing to be fair

It still is on the TV here, every year... it's a big thing ;)
