I’ll stick to his rules no problem there fair rules I have no interest in going near badgers an no interest in deer as that’s the rules of having me on his land an the law I’m just great full after all these years some one giving me fair shout

Hopefully there’s some good amount of gear on there for you. Sometimes a big area doesn’t guarantee a good haul, I recently got recommended for a 600 acre farm that was “thick” with rabbits and there’s frankly bugger all on there. Genuinely hope that’s not the case for you ??

Hopefully there’s some gear on there I’m not to worried about numbers all I want is enough work to constantly keep a dog or two ticking over constantly through out the season one bit of this land I know there’s a lot of rabbits on there ?but couldn’t say for the rest of the land or the other farm

Fair play poxon can't fault a bit of perm mate.it does take a bit of the addrenaline buzz away knowing you are allowed to be there ?

But it's also a nice feeling being relaxed especially while lamping.

The local farmer who owns all the land around me died a few months back and his son has moved in. After a good chat he's given me permission to crack on.

I hope the land is holding well for you ?

You got any woods on the new perm..

Christmas Eve I went to drop a couple of bottles of plonk off to the the farmer of the little sheep farm I do the farmer said lovely cheers for all your help I’ve got you a gift but your have to come back the day before new yrs day Eve I was like ok mate so arrived at the little farm he handed me a piece of paper with a name an phone number on it he said merry Christmas mate he said tell him I told you to ring any way I gets home rung the number a very well to do chap answered an said hi d I’ve heard your a pretty decent rabbit catcher (I don’t like to blow smoke at my own bum) I replyed im not bad the chap said how would I like to take care of some rabbits for him I replyed yeah I’ll give it a go anyway he gave me a address an a time anyways I rocked up on his farm for our meeting we discussed a few things he said could I come back the following day an he’ll get a map sorted an permission slip together just incase I get stopped I was like ok no problem 14.00hrs yesterday we met again he handed me a sign copy of the person slips he kept a sign one from me name address an all that second bit of paper farm no1 map codes for gates he said this ones only a small farm didn’t think nothing off it as I was so pleased to get some permission looked at the area map it’s a pretty decent size farm though to my self decent then hands me another map an gate codes he said this ones a decent size farm my jaw  fecking dropped! How could one man own so much land any way I’ve been buzzing since this new farmer recommended I sell my Audi an buy a decent 4x4 his condition were simple uphold the law no playing near badgers keep distance of the deer population on his land with dogs I could say fair than that I asked is there any problems with poaching he said not that he’s aware off the lands so hard to get on there’s only 2 ways on because we’re it’s located one is you’d have to come through my driveway the other was by the barn over there we have cctv I thought sounds decent I said any problem with fox’s he looked at me an smiled what foxes I said do you have anyone shooting on here he said no one I’ve personally given permission to he said both my farm hands shoot shot gun but both can’t really be assed to shoot anymore he said it’s all your mate ferret, lamp have fun I’ve been completely buzzing since I’ve got to go for a good wonder I’m hoping they hold enough gear to keep my bitch fully employed plus between my lamp partners 1 an 2 dogs in work when they come down. I’ve written this little SA up because it’s been a long time coming I’ve been a freelancer nearly all my time with dogs but am happy with the little gift I was given that is a perfect start to 2021 be nice to not have to look over shoulders all the time (that’s if it actually holds)

Good result mate all the best with it

Always loved poaching what a rush??I’ve got fond memories of a 4x4 screaming towards us one night my cousin casually walked off I’m 2 fields away trying to out pace the dog getting to the other end ????

ive found on the little sheep farm some nights it’s just a steady walk round no bother so relaxing

bit of a bonus least you can keep at it king

me to mate??

there’s a few wood lands I know there’s plenty of roe an muntjac on there there’s also only one puplic right of way it goes down one side of the last field most fields are hedge lined so hopefully pretty active on the rabbits front it’d be nice to see the odd fox kicking about as well
