low plains drifter 11,308
I remember one day in the gym a lad was sitting on the leg press for over five minutes without doing a single rep, I was about to ask him if he was finished as I was waiting to use it, when he hauled himself to his feet and staggered towards the door, I don't know how many reps if any he managed, but the pin was in the bottom plate of the 250kg stack lol

TOMO 29,257
inverted leg press....do you mean a vertical leg press...or a 45% leg press??
shaaark 11,528
Leg press, in my case, gave me bigger and better leg developement than squats. Plus, conventional squatting is an unnatural position for the body to be in.

I've seen some bird, on youtube, swearing that's the right way to punch out a well baked colon loaf; Squatting on the loo seat.

TOMO 29,257
leg press machines can vary a hell of a lot.... also foot position and depth can be masive as well.....put your feet low on the plate feet close together toes out...is far different to feet at the top of the plate and shoulder width apart

It's not a natural position, especially won't do your lower back any favours.

Greb147 6,810
I must be the only person in the world that got elbow pain whilst getting in to position to squat.

No, you're not. Like I said, it's an unnatural position.

I put my back out deadlifting in 2014 , have been very reluctant ever since . you’d be amazed at how many people can’t one rep 150 kg . all that leg strength must be underpinned by proper form and no ego. It was that “put on another 5kg” attitude that f****d me for a year , I still feel it now and even more with my piss tank pulling it over my hips. garbage
