Anyone who says snooker is boring is probably right, if you're not into the technicalities of it, but there's nothing boring about O'Sullivan, wether he's playing or being interviewed !  He messe

Like I said, steamrollered without getting out of 2nd gear Cheers, D.

He's moaning that smashing the balls is insulting to the sport.  In a way if he had fluked his shots after smashing them I kinda agree with him but to me that's a sign of him breaking, Selby shou

10 - 7 to Ronnie even though it's the worst I've ever seen him play..

Yeah, it's  been a strange session, Wilson looks the better player, but his mistakes have let a very off form O'Sullivan in.

I still fancy Ronny to win, but it ain't been a classic up to now !

Cheers.

Ronnie only needs to fly out of the starting blocks tomorrow and take the first 2 frames then Wilson will have a mountain to climb. Different day tomorrow Ronnie may just be a different man.

Kyren will be thinking about hard about the red he missed in the last frame tonight thats for sure.

i couldn’t give a flying what he said. Some are too scared of saying anything on air but he’s not and it was right what he said. Get a few Footy pundits Like that who won’t say anything that may upset their mates On the pitch. Never bite the hand and all that ??

The difference is though mate he is a player not a pundit its not for him to say things like that.....unless of course he thinks he is bigger than the sport itself.....i agree with Shark as a wise old pro who has been there and done it Ronnie should be encouraging young lads coming through its part of his responsibility to the game but the truth is he doesnt like snooker people,he doesnt like the etiquette and tradition that go,s with his sport.....part of the reason he sits picking his nose and scratching his arse knowing the camera is on him is because of his disdain for the game and the people who run it.....he,s an attention seeker if truth be told.....if he dont like the game and he,s as rich as he thinks then go and do something else.

The thing is, Ronnie IS snooker at the moment and has been for years !

Hes the sports "cash cow", "golden goose", he puts bums on seats. Imagine how boring it would be without both his skill and contentious views. I probably wouldn't be watching this final if it was Selby v Wilson, and I'd guess quite a few others wouldn't !

And the sports bosses know this !

He could have been a bit more diplomatic with his views on those outside the top 50, but to be fair, there's no one coming through that has either the skill or the charisma of O'Sullivan.

Thats why he gets away with his antics.

Cheers.

Doesnt make it or him right though Chartpolski.....he might be impressive to fans but to his fellow man he,s a tosspot....just depends which he holds more value in ?

Just giving a dispassionate view, and come to the conclusion snooker would be worse off without him, to me, at least.

I met Bristow many times, and he was much like O'Sullivan; the sports best player and biggest attraction, but held in low regard by many of his contemporaries, Phil Taylor was in the same vein, and I guess there are similar people in other sports.

It would take some extraordinary human being to be so good and so feted by the fans to remain humble and approachable.

To paraphrase Rag & Boneman ; "wer're only human after all" !

Cheers.

He was asked why the likes of him and Williams were still at the top of the game...he could have said “I don’t know” but he answered why they are. He should have said nowt and towed the line like all the others ?? He’s not right, it’s his opinion that’s all. This young ‘un Wilson is miles from being a winner, but I hope I’m wrong. He seems content to be there and that’s his lot.

true dave, he blew him away, they no doubt about,Ronnie  prob the best player to ever played the game, and like to day  he showd why. even if you dont like the bloke , and i not tjhat keen really,  but his talent  , like Ali in boxing , stands out as the best in there sport. regards Wilson  he might not ever get as good as Ronnie, but he young he can improve deff . Be great if Ronnie can match or beat steven Hendry  , i think he can 100% if gets his mind right like today.:good:

"Humble " is the wrong word though mate theres nothing wrong in knowing and saying you are the best,if you are.....its his contempt for his fellow players, youngsters in particular that grates on me....some young lad slogging his nuts off practising 8 hours a day to better his game shouldnt have to listen to that from a fellow player just because that player has the rare natural talent to get up off the couch and win a world championship with no practise.....you dont hear other sporting greats do it maybe its just a " pub sports " thing maybe ?
