I get the idea mate, I really do but I honestly don’t think you can trust western politicians with that kind of power.

These people can’t be trusted with anything never mind the power of life and death over private citizens.

Question mate, is that country governed from a moralistic/religious ethic or is it like the west ? 
Are politicians there every bit as greedy, selfish and couldn’t give a shit about their homeland as ours in the west ?

Just this minute read the case of PC Harper who got killed whilst in pursuit of some tea leaves. 

Now they are dirty scumbags no doubt but murderers? 

To me it looks like a tragic accident, he got his legs tangled up in a rope they were using to tow a stolen quad with. 

True they drove nearly a mile with him getting dragged all over the floor but how does anyone know they even realised he was caught up in it?

True, it would be ideal in an ideal world. 

Just have to look at the system as it is at the moment. Scary. 

Also looking at how some countries are handling the covid crisis and every thing else, dosent fill me with great hope.

On saying that.

Forget the death penalty. Really couldn't work fairly.

But the laws should tighten up. And life should mean life for murder, rape and pedos.

Also castle doctrine should be allowed.

It's  an "Absolute Monarchy", Wilf. The King appoints ministers and controls all finances. It is, in effect, HIS country !

There is no immigration, and you can't apply for citizenship. You can only live there as a foreigner if you have a sponsor and a job.

Its very difficult for Saudis to marry foreigners, a saudi man can marry a Muslim, Christian or Jew, but a saudi woman can only marry a Muslim.......go figure !

It has opened up slightly , you can now get a visit visa to attend one of the big sporting events they now hold. Before, you had to have close relatives living there, or be lucky enough to know a prince who could pull strings !

its certainly no Utopia, it has many, many faults, but I enjoyed my time there, not least because they payed me bucketloads of money ! LOL !

Im a believer of "when in Rome......", so I got on fine.

We have castle doctrine to a bigger extent than the UK here in Ireland though mate, we can absolutely plug someone on any part of our property if we can prove we thought there was a direct risk to life.

Saudi nationals have free healthcare, free schooling, house building grants, there was no taxes whatsoever, until recently when 5% vat was imposed on certain items. Food, fuel, electricity and water are subsidised.

BUT, it's certainly not a "free" country ! There's no voting, criticism of the royals or the government, (basically the same thing), is punished severely, woman are, to some extent, second class citizens, but the vast majority of Saudis I know are happy with the set up.

In the west, we make a big thing of saudi women not being allowed to drive, but my daughter in law says " why on earth would I want to drive, when I can employ a Pakistani driver for £200 a month ? " .

We seem to worry more about saudi women's rights than saudi women do !

If you were both married, (not to each other), you would be beheaded, she would be stoned.

If you were both single, you would both be caned.

In reality, if you were a westerner, you'd just be deported, and the woman's punishment would depend to a large extent on what her father or brothers thought.
