Just watched on breaky TV him getting knighted by the Queen. ...and I liked the fact he wouldn't tell the interviewer what they chatted about.....nice to see a bit of feel good stuff instead of the usual doom and gloom...nice little story

Also watched it Tomo,a true British gentleman, found him quite humbling, hope I'm that with it when I'm 100 ! Still had an eye for a bit of skirt !

I met this legend a few year ago whilst working in Sheffield, his name is Cyril Elliot and he was in the Normandy Landings at Sword Beach.

I hope he's still going strong God bless him, will be about 100 now if so.

Can't remember exactly but think it was near Shiregreen?

I just noticed the old fella struggling with his case with every c**t just walking by him  so I went over and carried his case to the bus stop for him.

He was travelling to Normandy bless him for the anniversary of the landings.
