So paying someone to kick a football around that type of money if fecking ridiculous.

Tell me how is someone who kicks a ball around worth 10k a day

I don't think so but I'm not the one paying it! Value is subjective. That's why people are buying bog-roll at a grand a go. If people are all right with that then crack on. I ain't going to cry when they're struggling though...

I see the banks are playing God on who fits the criteria for being eligible for loans even knocking some back for going on to there over draft  you lads have said the knock on effect when this is over

Fcuk discustin  hope when this is over government tax the shit out of them, piss taking players could pay the wages of the staff out of their wages.

Why are the papers not making a song and dance about the banks using it as an opportunity to once again f**k people in the arse. Them c**ts was bailed out in 2008, didn’t change their ways at all

And yet we all moan there's no money in the economy the UK.

I've been proper skint with £4 in my pocket to last 1 week.

And yet given £2 half of what I've got to a lad in my village who is skint and starving.

For him to buy a loaf of bread and 2 tins of beans.

And that was in about 1996

And I went hungry for 3 days.

It's fecking ridiculous paying anyone £10k a day.in my opinion...

But yea let's just buy the newspapers and believe that these singers and actors are worth £20million a film.

Society is fecked mate

I'm not into communism mate...

I don't write the rules on who should earn what and why... but I like the thought that a kid off an estate can graft his bollocks off abs have a bit of talent and earn big bucks, in sport or entertainment or business or whatever.... I'm just not into the whole everyone should be capped cause it ain't fair that some people dont earn enough....

I think we all know what it's like to be completely skint...lessons of life in my book....

I dont give a f**k what another man earns...fair play if you can make a great living out of something you love doing....

Society is f****d for loads of reasons....mainly cause everyone keeps saying "society is f****d" and believing that's a good enough excuse....

Sorry mate, I like capatilism but have socialist values....is that wrong?? Lol

The clubs are picking up the biggest bill...surely that's a good thing?

In one way but if they can afford to fork out millions a week for players wages, they should treat all their employees the same and  pay the support staffs wages imo.

Cheers, D.

Maybe mate...

But they are businesses like all others, I doubt many can afford to run all operating costs with zero revenue coming in at this time...

It's a shit situation for all businesses and business owners big or small..

All the more reason for some players to take the common sense approach of maybe not drawing a full wage?

Maybe some are..who knows??

Even lads who dont earn a fortune have turned round and said, it's ok I'll be fine for this month if it helps....

But you wont see that all over the media...only the sensationalised stories...

I'm not saying most modern day footballers ain't spoilt, pampered metrosexuals that need a dose of real life...but I dont buy everyone should earn the same no matter the job or only some can use the current situation and available support etc...

I think a lot is put back into communities from the local prem team, we haven't got a prem team down here but have one of the best rugby teams in the country/Europe and they do loads for charity...I think most clubs are the same

Yeah I’m not putting the wages under the microscope mate. I’m looking at it from a club possibly struggling angle. If a club is struggling & has to use government help, would the fans be happy to see it slowly sink just so the club can honour multimillion contracts? Or would they be happy to see players say they could manage on less to weather the storm?

...but like you say some may take a pay cut?

like I’ve admitted I’m not a passionate league football fan so maybe I see things differently?

Jmho but this is going to be a bonfire mate.....if anyone thinks this is going to be business as usual in 1, 3, 6 or 12 months then my feelings are they better think again.

This is going to be a total wipe the slate and start again for millions of businesses and private individuals.

I personally believe that people had better get busy positioning themselves for that.
