moonlighter 1,165
If it’s a pet, then obviously a greyhound sanctuary. You can have your pick from over 40/50 dogs at any given one. Quote Link to post

johnboynewt 50
I'm on my way back from a nights racing now. Honestly get to your local trainers kennel or go straight to a retirement home. Oh and if you want a hard working dog, think again. I've just witnessed one cry because it didn't like the wet grass under its feet! 1 Quote Link to post

Moocher71 4,116
Go on line and most greyhound kennels will have few jooks looking for homes ,if you have a track near you just talk to trainers and you soon have one .. i see greyhound work as good as any jook over the yrs ,my brother had two and they both demon on fox and good pot fillers ,just got to give them a chance to get head around running live and not a mechanical hare . good luck 2 Quote Link to post

sandymere 8,263
This little bitch worked pretty well after retirement from the track but in truth they've bred to race rather than work, bit like putting an F1 car on a rally. Better to get a rally car, in dog terms a lurcher. If you want a pure bred then a saluki or galgo would be a good choice. 1 Quote Link to post
