I don’t think anyone would say he was a legend but he was certainly a very hard fighter with a massive heart.....a real old pit dog of a fighter. Give me your Nigel Benn over a Tyson Fury any day

Whilst I have nothing against someone making a few Bob ,and I know it will be done under the auspices of some fly by night board of control ,and I know it's more a showbizzy ,www ,ufc type hype thing

that's the difference my friend. do you want a fighter or a boxer?. age old argument fighters like Benn put bums on seats. surely boxing is about hit and not get hit. been said ward would send a glass eye to sleep but he is a boxer and twice outboxed krusher.

I get you mate, for a pure spectator like me then it’s a gutsy scrapper every time......but I’m sure to lads who have boxed and know about the sport then it’s different.

I always liked the Mexicans because you knew you were in for a good, hard scrap of a fight.

Personally I want to see a good bit of good old fashioned thuggish aggression........I dont really want to have the pants bored off me by lads who seem more interested in body building than hurting the other bloke.

One of the reasons I dont watch boxing any more.

Dave ' Wilf also fought Roberto Duran so not exactly a dummy ?

Fair play to him, personally I have never heard of the bloke.

Takes some bottle to get in the ring with fighters of that calibre but that video there still wasn’t a real fight was it.

I spoke to an ex pro he said he wouldn't of liked to have made a comeback at all after he retired he said his body was fooked ... re benn he said good luck to him and he cant see this come back lasting to long if at all , and it probly will be over 6 rounds ,

Hopefully an exhibition for a bit of nostalgia as most of us wouldn’t like to see him getting hurt. All ya need is Eubanks and Collins doing the same now haha

His head at 55 won't be able to take as much punishment as it did at 25

He must be skint

I watched a documentary on him im sure he invested in property from early in his career told by his dad to do so then lead some what of a party style life then turned reborn again Christian and took up being a dj and moved to Spain in his villa he was one of my favourite boxers and he's kept in shape and always trained hard even after retirement but you cant fight age like most have said should stay retired
