After watching the John West adverts, I'm confident I can take one toe to toe

Where is the best place to shoot him? Near the fcuking road because I wouldn't fancy dragging him.???

Bella killed that grizz appropriately 30 kl from where I live.  I was following one of its offsprings tracks  two days ago.  It threw big stock!

My old mate that goes canoeing around the world was charged by a mamma bear with a cub a few years back in Canada,  he had one of those big cans of bear spray and advice not to run but stand your ground and make yourself large, he saw the cub first and thought shit mum would,nt be far away, but when she came out the tree line standing on her back legs running at him he took one look at the aerosol can in his hand and threw it over his shoulder as he sprinted down the beach shouting to get the canoe going he just  about got away needing just new pants but unharmed,  ?

Saw this in the store earlier, there's a reason people who live in grizzly country have large Calibre revolvers strapped to their waists rather than carry cans of spray.

Bear spray is actually very effective until you piss off the wrong griz. The guy I bought my house from is from Alaska and he said he was hunting caribou when they were charged by one. It took two of them and 10 rounds of 12 gauge slug to take it down. I was sceptical until he showed me the picture. It was the stuff of nightmares.

I've heard experienced backcountry hunters on social media say they'd rather have spray than a gun. I guess everyone is different though.

Agreed, mate. All the evidence points towards its effectiveness but I'm sure there will be a small number of cases where it's not enough for the job.

They come out more like a fire extinguisher than an air freshener but I agree.

as effective as they may be and more accomplished men than me might say they would want 1 over a gun. but its all down to the guy being charged. i wouldnt be confident using that over a pistol

A H&H double rifle chambered in .700 nitro express with 1000gr soft points would be hard to leave at home I must admit. Be a bloody shame really. LOL
