Deker 3,453
If its for the field you don't need any more than a CZ can offer, smack a SAK on the end, job done! 4 Quote Link to post
FLATTOP 3,683
Owned mine from new CZ452 American with the 16” Varmint barrel with a Sak on the end , about nine years I’ve had it and it’s never let me down accurate head shots on bunny’s consistently I have had Close range foxes but that subject has been discussed many a time with differing opinions. i would highly recommend. 2 Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
Hi Mitch cz 455 sak mod , dead flat out to 100 and deadly accurate look no further mate Atb 1 Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
My cz was 22:1/2 inch and I had it cut to 15 inch. Best thing I did with it, no loss in accuracy and only 70fps lost in mv. LEI mod is small and very effective. Keeps the mice mice on their toes 1 1 Quote Link to post

I have exactly the same gun as this and can't recommend it enough. For the money you can't go wrong. 2 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,980
Looks like the CZ452 then but I did think about Sako finnfire Quote Link to post

Nice rifle but no real advantage over the CZ. You can by a .17 CZ with a bling laminated Boyds stock fitted for £200 less than a Finnfire and it looks a $1M more, plus it's available in 16" barrels off the peg: Scroll down and there are various stock options that blow the Finnfire away in my opinion: https://www.mcavoyguns.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d693_CZ_.17_HMR_Rifles.html Edited September 22, 2018 by Alsone 1 Quote Link to post

If you fancy one go for it, but seriously, don't expect anything more than the CZ offers! 2 Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Stainless t-bolt 16” varmint looks like a nice tool. Might be worth a look? 1 1 Quote Link to post

Trouble with SS is it's double the price and really if you look after any firearm properly it should last a lifetime. They are very smart but I just can't justify to myself paying out for SS, I'm a tight old git though I admit 1 Quote Link to post

It’s just that I happened to have a look over the ss varmint model recently, and I thought it looked like a good tool. No better than the sporter model though I’m sureand as you say, you’ve got to take into consideration the extra cost. 1 Quote Link to post
Deker 3,453
I've got a couple of Stainless in bigger calibres, it's a long story and I never set out with than intention. I look after all my guns and treat them all the same, I'm more than happy with conventional blued, but each to their own! Quote Link to post
