WILF 50,580
Ahh, but only if the bacon was raised on the farm of a card carrying member of Unison and labour voter! if it’s anything else, it’s naturally shit ! Lol
Mister Gain 1,764
We take in more nitrates from veggies (bad news for vegans if it's so nasty LOL) than ever we do from bacon/processed meats, so I can't see why bacon needs to be re-invented. I think a better interest would be served by cutting back on the pumped shit and moving over to proper dry cured bacon whereby you are not paying for water. (the white froth which exudes as the bacon shrinks when you cook it) Just a quick quote from a Google search, which I was aware of before I Googled it... Vegetables high in sodium nitrate include beets, cabbage, carrots, celery, radishes and spinach. Around 90 percent of the nitrite in your body comes from vegetables, while just 10 percent comes from processed meats.

neil cooney 10,416
In the last few months I've seen fields of potatoes being sprayed for blight 3 times a week. A neighbouring farmer told me he was going to start growing his own as all the spraying was making him sick and I seen a farmer spraying cabbages and sprouts with slug pellets while there was a hard frost. I asked him would the frost not keep the slugs back. He said you couldn't take the chance. The water in the drills were full of slug pellets and I rang a friend I knew was going to shoot these fields and told him to stay away. It might also explain where all our pheasants went that we released into these crops. It's illegal to slaughter an animal for human consumption within a certain amount of days (Is it 30 days ?) if it's had medicines given to it but vegtables get sprayed and covered in poisons and are often eaten raw. It's put me off them.

But when the weather suits blight, wet and warm, they'll spray with an insecticide several times a week and that's poison. As for the slug pellets ? They even scattered 20 foot or so into neighbouring fields and to see all the surface water full of them was sickening especially as slug pellets are poisonous to dogs, so I'll presume they're poisonous to most animals. And the veggies think they're helping planet earth, LOL.
