stonewall 1,913
its as well to nip this thread in the bud now, proper working lakelands that stay until dug even when the pressure comes on you must be joking.their like hens teeth. 3 Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,415
They're out there. I dug to one a few weeks ago on a fox. Don't know much about his breeding though. The trouble with Lakelands nowadays is the same with the Border. Of course there's workers out there but is the litter working and how good were the parents, grand parents etc. and then you've got to wade through the six foot of shit that the showmen have produced. Sentimentality and romanticism is always nice but in the working terrier game it doesn't put game on the sod to often but just lines the peddlers pockets. 1 Quote Link to post
fatlad 250
mine are doing ok stay until dug dont do alot of digging but they havnt let me down mostly do rats with them, got really good noses on them. i know the parents and grandparents are hunt terriers my two are fairly sensible Quote Link to post
Wales1234 5,425
mates got a Lakeland dog very good dog dug 5 him times in a day and he must have over 100 digs to him ! Big strong dog Quote Link to post
Pirate 9000 675
There still about got 3 biches going well, dog abit hard for my liking, but you get that in all breeds if they didn't stay until dug they wouldn't have lasted long in my kennels. 2 Quote Link to post
