I like to think of the EU as a huge commercial gym and your a member of it. One day you and your mates decide to leave this gym and no longer wish to be a member of it.

A gym that is badly run, dirty, costs more and more every month, has an appalling record of customer service and never listens to any concerns or ideas it's customers have for improving things. The equipment is old and those running it have little interest in it. And although it claims it values all of its members, it actually is quite happy having any one a member wether they are civilised or not. Fights and rapes have actually become common in the gym.

Why would someone want to leave? It's obvious isn't it.

What do you have to loose in leaving?

Nothing, except heckling from those still members and a surprise small print bill to leave, that actually increases the longer it takes for you to officially get out of the building.

Just my humble opinion, but seriously, what more is there to it? It's your choice.

And because you have some dignity and respect for yourself, others will value you more. Hence the reason the rest of the world are lined up to do business with the UK.

Cops are bent, was on a landrover safari, blind enough bend, those double solids again. Van over takes the land rover on the bend, next straight one of the two CHiPs lads are already moving. Landy and van pull over. Van takes off  No cop follows him  Landrover driver has to donate some €€€ to the police eyesight trust and away we go.

It's like that in a lot of places in Europe  ...drive through Poland ,Lithuanian ect on foreign plates t make sure you  take plenty of cash with you .

Truth is, it’s going to be very difficult for net beneficiaries who live in a very low crime country with low immigration and very advantageous tax laws to agree with someone who is a net contributor in a high crime country, getting rinsed for every penny and who’s towns and cities have become unrecognisable.

They just won’t understand each other as myself and Johns chat on here clearly shows.

Ireland has seen real benefits from membership, the EUs own blurb says they were a basket case prior to it.

Ireland puts in €100 and get back €123 per head

UK puts in €100 and gets back €60 per head

of course them blokes are never going to agree.

Realistically, a load of businesses become uneconomical due to tariffs, unemployment increases, cost of living increases, tax revenues drop leading to a reduction in public services/spending/gov, civil unrest, terrorism in NI, eventual collapse of the union, rise of hard line socialism, students having to get visas for their gap years.

Suddenly I'm all for walking away with no deal right away! 

 

Seriously though it's a good point the accelerationists should think on. There's no guarantee that the society that is rebuilt after breaking it all down would be one they'd be any more happy with than what we have currently.

Agreed. As I said earlier change regardless might not be beneficial. It's certainly something that requires people to make their elected officials accountable but that's as likely and the hunting ban being repealed.

I think it's another symptom of just how relatively good we have it these days despite the complaints we all have, folk who say it couldn't get any worse should look back in time at just how bad things can really be!
