Chid 6,677
No it's a solid sealed plug ..... Should be a bit that pulls out for the fuse normally in the centre of the pins
Chid 6,677
https://www.flameport.com/electric/plugs/plugs_in_real_life.cs4 Look on there for type of plug and fuse access
mhopton 807
The lead needs to be fully extended out to stop it over heating but if it's just the short type with say 3-4 sockets on try keeping the plugs closer to the lea
forest of dean redneck 11,855
Isn't that dodgy running 2 big appliances like that on a extension lead?
slip lead 862
Most appliances ( because of Regs) work of a sper, most will have a fuse, different amps sizes for different appliances, as said above, just lift up the little red clip, to get to fuse. If no red clip check your fuse box
mushroom 13,576
By one with a built in circuit breaker bout 25-30 notes. It could be the fuse. If not the fuse, its internal so the electrics. Mate washing machines are a cnut and that will need an engineer, so more money

Ossie n Arch 1,682
In a word, no. Try them in a different lead and see if they work then. The washing machine draws more power than the fridge, the socket on the end of the lead may be burnt out only on that one side, if at all. If the washing machine still doesn't work, try a new fuse in the plug top. 13 amp fuse in the washing machine, 5amp in the fridge.
