Chaff 3,414
Could possibly down to the fact it was hit by a blue van..lol Have eaten the rest of it with no I'll effects. I won't be eating this one neither will the dog. Mrs thinks its gone wrong in defrost ? Minerals leaching or bacteria.
Dinosaurs 2,008
Looks like something was on the saw that cut it & its rubbed off on bone. Cut into it lower down & see if any more blue as looks artificial colour. Atb

Jonjon79 13,352
Your own blood/veins are blue if the blood isn't oxygenated - have a look at your wrist - the blue/purple veins are carrying blood back to your heart and lungs on a return cycle. As already suggested, I'd cut further in to see if the colour disappears. If it does, then try a bit of the meat. If not, bin it to be on the safe side. Was it processed and wrapped quick after shooting?
Blackbriar 8,568
If it was me, I wouldn't worry.....that doesn't look like a natural colour, to me, so it must be kind of dye transfer ? Trust your nose ! That's what I do - if I'm in doubt, I'll give the dogs a bit....they can smell it going off long before I can.
