That happens a lot with expensive wines.

All the wine 'experts' can't tell the difference in taste though....they have special investigators that examine the corks

also a few bottles that divers recovered from the SS politician.

 

That would be a good bottle to have on yyou're shelf.

I think your right Dido it is how long the whisky has been in the barrel, and also the type of barrel it has been matured in can effect the price

The documentary about Shackeltons whiskey was very interesting. The man who was hired to copy the blend had his nose insured for 1 million.

The most interesting thing that I found in it that this expert blender added a little water to each whiskey as he said water enhanced a whiskeys flavour.

Shackeltons whiskey was 100 years in the bottle and the expert tasted it.

ye the age statement is how long its in the barrel. whisky does not improve after its bottled.(allegedly)

look as some of the whisky auctions to see what prices are. some of them are fortunes.

I watched a good documentary on either Youtube or Netflix a few weeks ago about a young Chinese lad that made loads of fake wines and spirits and made millions from it. Can't recall what it was called now.

450 yoyos for a bottle, its at least 30yrs in the barrel before being bottled in the 80s that was the last caskets ever brewed in the 1950s and was found in the 80s before redevelopment
