They might sell out quickly but they look decent for 40 quid

https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=3858

seen that too, could be handy for accessing good fishing spots.

I thought the same . For that price if you got a year out of it it would be worth it . I'm skint this week so if they have some left next week I'm going to buy one .

I've got a similar one, and its great !

The Lidl model has a weight capacity of 160kg, but take that with a pinch of salt - mine is listed as 180kg, but it takes basic gear,me and my mate - and we're over 200kg.....(combined, not each !)

We've had some great little excursions up and down the Grand Union - go for it, and have some fun !

Hmmm, at that price they should be forced to sell bouyancy aids with them. Might save some daft kids.., or daft adults drowning.

I would be surprised if they sell life jackets aswell. Would be foolish not to . Most who buy it would buy them if they were there aswell .

I'd like to see a risk assessment carried out before it's even inflated, a risk of over inflation and possible explosion . Not to mention the risk of getting wet and getting a chill !!!

That's part of the fun . I remember as kids going down rapids and mini waterfalls in big inner tubes . The guy in the tyre yard used to inflate some and leave them outside the yard in hot weather for the kids to take and use .

@walshie yea i remember jim in that thing. Wouldn't have been me?

It looked ok for a pool but not sure about a loch or river. He left it at the digs we stayed at lol

Funniest thing was when he couldn't paddle against the current so grabbed hold of the bridge and jumped out. Carried it back soaking up to the waist.
