THE STIFFMEISTER 17,554
People underestimate this country's mountains so much Get up tre fan on a rainy day Or striding edge on a winters day It's a total disgrace getting to the point of emergency services being called
BGD 6,437
Maybe they're Spartans... And the bigoted mountain rescue interfered with their long held cultural practice Disgusting.

I'm not condoning what they did , I wouldn't let my twelve year old go climbing Ben Nevis but maybe they are growing up in a different environment to us . At twelve my old man would have had to shackle me and my brother , we certainly had more freedom than kids do today ..old bomb sites and derelict buildings by the Thames were a playground ..way to dangerous for today's kids who need to wear safety harnesses if there sitting on a high stool ..
scothunter 12,609
Yea there a lot of things that the PC and health & safety legislate i disagree with mate, but i just found this unbelievably stupid and reckless. In all probability they have never set foot on this mountain before so would have no idea of the terrain or layout. Seriously within minutes it can change and cant even see you're hand in front of you're face. Lad from Yorkshire this Feb got caught up in it and strayed off the path and walked clean off the North face.
