Silversnake 1,099
Here in Sydney we just had 3 days in a row of 40 degrees plus. That is celsius!!! I have family members been evacuated from their properties due to bushfires and yesterday my late grandmother's property was completely burnt out (two houses sheds, machinery, equipment, etc) this has been the hottest weather I can ever remember here and it is HELL!!! gnasher16 31,602
We,ve had it all today rain, sleet, snow even a bit of sun at one point.....its still taters though wooley jumper weather.I read the rhyming word "Taters" comes from a bloke called George Chatham , who was a top class thief , his nickname was Taters and when on a job he had ice cold nerve hence "Taters in the mould" = cold , probably a myth not sure ?? No idea mate....half of all that " apples and pears " carry on we,ve been saying for years without ever really knowing why

Taters in the mould was around long before Chatham. He might have been known as Taters because he was ice cold, but cold was not called Taters because of him. It's just because mould and cold rhyme. It's taters here today, but at least the currant bun's out.
