Me and viz set off at 4pm to get to the farm before dark the tree,s were full of crows and viz was the first to get his rifle set up .

 

He then took out three of the crows by the time i got mine set to go lol

 

they all fecked off before i got the chance to have a go

 

but walking past one of the barns i saw a feral pigeon sitting up in the rafters so i placed the cross hairs on it and let a bis mag go it fell in with the cows so could not retrieve it

 

By know darkness was setting in as we hit the fields viz went one side and i the other

 

i took out a hair at 40yrds one shot one kill i could just about see it with the light that was left in the sky and a cracking shot it was to out like a light ,

 

When i met viz at the top of the field he had two hairs and a rabbit we could of got more hairs but the light was gone and darkness was in .

 

Mind we did not get any thing else we fitted the lamps and off we went but nothing was about .

 

so we called it a day and headed home

 

no pics lads my phone was low and for some reason it eats the battery when taking pics

 

and as most of you know about my wife i needed to keep the phone charged

 

in case it happened again .

iv even given the next door neighbor a key so they can get in if she falls again

At least you did better than me ,been out for 6 hours and a 4 hour round trip ,shot 2 pigeons but both landed in the ivy at the top of the tree

Cheers lads it was a good day out but feck did we do some walking

 

its all hills on the 6500 acres how come when your walking up them it seems easy when your mind is on some thing else like looking for rabbits and the like .

 

then you turn round and see how far you have to walk back lol

 

We need a quard bike or a side by side David knows what its like he has been on that perm lol

 

Jon ,,,the rifle is mint mate top class im so happy i got it off you bud honest i really am

 

you know when you have some thing special when you look through the scope put the cross hair on the pray and

 

YOU KNOW ITS IN THE BAG BEFORE YOU SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER

 

she works well with the biz mags so she will not have any thing else in her from now on

 

I feel like iv got the old raider back and she even has that annoying DING when you fire her in fact the ding is louder than the action of the rifle now she is fitted with the twink lol

 

Now just need to stain her black for Rez

 

He loved that old raider as much as me and the lad never got to shoot her ether

 

Im back lads and with one hell of a bit of kit keep an eye out for the posts too come

....can't beat confidence in your kit

 

..... I did like it a lot but, I never wanted to take it out in case I marked it

 

I know what you mean about them distances - it always seems longer when I walk back. Especially the time I just kept stalking in the dark and fog and I got disoriented - I turned a half mile walk back into a 2 hour search for the car

Viz and Zandyo1 got lost one night they rang me to put the t67 white beam in the sky so they new what way to head back

 

there like a light house when you turn them on lol
