Nik_B 3,791
So after the umpteenth vets visit for my dog I got the lowdown on his x-rays etc and we got talking about castration which I didn't want to have for my lab, I don't believe it will change the temperament of a middle aged dog and more likely lead to other problems especially as mine likes the odd scrap especially kicking the crap out of male spaniels So I asked the nurse if dogs can have vasectomies since we are looking for a bitch cocker soon. It's not common for dogs apparently but then she went on.....in glorious detail Apparently it is common for some rams to have vasectomies because they (in her words) tease the female sheep in to becoming more horny (I was nearly crying with laughter at this point)....then they bring in the mating rams to do the business. Well either she was completely taking the piss out of me or I learned something new and completely pointless....just the way I like it. So did you learn anything new today? LOL My daughter came home the other day and said " I learned to say Polar Bear in French today......what the hell use is that to me" So I told her, if she ever finds herself on an antartic survey with a team of French scientists and they are threatened by a polar bear she will be very glad of that knowledge and look back and say "my old dad was right" I just got that look that's says "piss off dad!!"
