kyboy44 11
Nop just that it was not a common dog here but that it would be a good one for a lot of the work over here Quote Link to post

kyboy44 11
OK would you think a greyhound collie x could have the speed to get to a fox across a open field say 50-100 yards Quote Link to post

kyboy44 11
Cool I have always thought it would be cool to hunt with lurchers but most of the open country around here is Land that has been cleared for mining or paster land so 50-100 yards and anmals can be under cover would be interested what kind of x you all would recommend for fox if you did not have the ban to deal with Quote Link to post

kyboy44 11
Well I have heard of a bull x and a few guys out in the more open parts of the West use them as a kill dog but the book I was reading called for a collie x since a lot of you guys have experience with them if you did not have the ban to deal with what kind would you go for that had the speed to catch fox in a short run because most of the time over here it would be let them loss on fox and maybe coyote that was called into the open or bring in over bait Quote Link to post
General lee 979
If your only running foxes I'd have the bullcross infant I'd have the bullcross anyway 1 Quote Link to post
kyboy44 11
OK would you go with a frist or secant x Quote Link to post
General lee 979
It all depends first thing I would do is look at what you want the dog to do and the sort of land it will be running if a bullcross would suit then I would find some dogs that are doing the job and get a puppie from the same breeding Quote Link to post
