mackem 29,976 Posted December 24, 2016 Report Share Posted December 24, 2016 My missus was at work yesterday,woman in her early 50's was in the ward,she had cancer,she was a bit snappy the day before but my missus understood,stress and in pain,yesterday my missus saw her two daughters hugging and crying in a corridor,she knew,every day not just christmas is a blessing,happy christmas mate and hope your exceptionally lucky in life in 2017. 9 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It shouldn't be about money and stress, I hate that aspect of Xmas but we try to keep it traditional it's about giving not receiving and a time to spend together as a family. Sorry to hear your bad news fella. I've had a pretty shit year myself to be honest. 2016 has been the most stressful I've had. I broke my ankle and was out of action for best part of 3 months, lost a terrier to ground for 5 days, had a right time changing mortgage providers, very nearly lost my driving licence, a good mate of mine lost his baby weeks before it was due to be born, my uncle died at 49 in a motorbike crash and a mate from work committed suicide, plus I've recently changed jobs taking a massive pay cut for more time at home and we've been planning a wedding (which to anyone who ain't married, I wouldn't reccomend, just go abroad, lol). So yeh it's been a shit year. But... Xmas is all about my little girl so we have to put all that behind us like others have said and focus on the kids. Here's hoping 2017 brings some better luck.
