I think you're probably right pal but if this year has taught us anything it's that nothing is certain in politics!

Not even a labour candidate loosing his deposit. Who would have thought that could happen?

TC

Not really surprising at all in a constituency that has always been a Lib/Con battleground. If you're not 1st or 2nd in our system you're fecked.

This is far from the safe Tory seat that you might be led to believe !   Lib Dems held the seat from 1979 to 2010, with a majority of 3,000 to 5,000. Goldsmith initially won the seat in 2010, in a b

so like 3 or 400 people voted for em in the gen election in the uk , now sky and msn news are calling sarah olneys pissy little by election win a crushing blow to the tories and now shes going to get

She's got a lovely house on the Thames apparently.....

Well that's one MP who definitely would have voted for the triggering of Article 50 replaced by one who definitely won't...

I don't think much of Zak Goldsmith....another fake tory. Like many of the centre on the left and right they threw their grass roots under the bus....Zak described himself as 'pangender' in a recent article...it's not going to cut it for the grass roots. He was destroyed by his own stupidity and also the seat is hardly Con/UKIP territory

P.S plus he brought this on himself the tw*t....he triggered the by-election

Agreed ! This whole fiasco was brought about by Goldsmith's own self-serving indulgence. Failed to be elected as London mayor, despite fighting a dirty campaign, so he thought he'd flex his political muscle.....sorry, I meant "show his political naivety" !

He never had a local, personal vote, committed to him being their own, cherished MP - he is a committed Brexiteer, his constituency was committed to "Remain". It was only going to end one way - what did he think was going to happen ?

And now, all he has succeeded in doing is giving the Re-moaners another excuse to drag out their reluctance to accept the inevitable...
