scothunter 12,609
Tbh mate its time they actually got back to making some decent telly. f***ing flood the tv in reality shows. Not even original either. These shows have been done to death. Hardly watch mainstream telly anymore.

TOMO 29,288
I think they were disappointed that hot headed lad chucked the towel in.... And like me they warmed to the oldest fella,,that had lost his lad in Afghanistan ,,,let's hope he can Last longer,,,but I think it's a big ask for a fella of 44 who's never been in the army...

TOMO 29,288
I was a bit shocked at how easy some of them chucked in the towel,,, I know that's easy for me to say sat on my arse in front of the fire ,,eating chocky bickies,,,,but most of them looked like fit lads wanting to prove the selfs ,,but two of them chucked the towel in ,,just crawling round parade ground.... Just shows I suppose it's easy going to the gym for an hour everyday,,and looking the part,,but that real fitnes is in the head

TOMO 29,288
I'm sure there are serving soldiers that are still very fit at that age,,,maybe in the sas,,marines,,para,,ect,,,but they have been doing it all there lives,,,so apart from being fit,,have the mindset as well.... Trouble is with that fella,,even if he's a marathon runner,,triathlon ,,and very fit,,,I dowt he's got that mindset ... I hope I'm wrong mind,,,I will be cheering him on
socks 32,253
I've seen super fit guys go down in the jungle as their bodies have no reserves and the jungle sucks you dry ... as they keep saying it's all in your head in the jungle ... you are continuously sweating getting bitten your wet damp uncomfortable eating shit food water that tastes of chlorine from your purifying tablets ... you get frustrated easily everything is hard work ... add to that being put under pressure worked hard shouted at little sleep etc it soon sorts out the weak minded .........

He also has that very determined mindset, that you can only get from that type of career. He's 58 now, and he could still run lads half his age into the ground !

mackem 30,104
Couldnt believe one guy jacked as soon as he got into the jungle, you adapt to it,even 100% humidity, soaked all day every day with your own sweat, leeches, mozzies, nothing but hues of green, its a bit claustrophobic sometimes i guess, but no reason to throw the towel in,the older guy came across well.
