gnasher16 31,123
I still think he's one of the greatest of all time despite the mockery he's made of himself for the last decade. You say made a mockery but i disagree...there was a time when nearly all fighters had those few fights too many the love of fighting and desire to keep competing is respected throughout the boxing world....while we all hope to see fighters make enough money to walk away from the sport intact the fighters that gain our lasting affection are those that give their absolute all to the game we will all hold the Ali,s,Durans,Jones etc closer to our hearts than the Calzaghes of this world as they are what we used to term " a fighters fighter " Edited October 26, 2016 by gnasher16

I've never seen anything like it before, he was getting knocked out with taps.

AKA-BRINDLE 879
What a shitty night of boxing last night, just goes to show how biased the London Olympics was. I've seen better fighters down my local pub than the likes of Ogogo. They must have got their medals out of a cereal box....Gavin Egginton was a good fight. Ogogo was shocking can't see how he will come back from that tbh He hasn't got the talent, chin or heart to go anywhere. The way he quit last night was a disgrace.. Ogogo got his eye socket fractured sparring and went into the fight not knowing how bad the injury was...his corner pulled him out as he had blurred/double vision... understandable really...he was also carrying an Achilles injury... so not surprising he wernt at his best...people hate the lad because of all the celebrity stuff and maybe rightly so...but maybe he can come again? and the Cunningham lad gives him a rematch

I do massively but he's causing more and more harm to his health every time he gets starched, I don't want to see him a mumbling mess years down the line.

Me neither.....if we want to wrap these Olympians up in cotton wool and give them the best of everything from day 1 then we cant give them excuses if it go,s wonky. I do massively but he's causing more and more harm to his health every time he gets starched, I don't want to see him a mumbling mess years down the line. Yep absolutely. DogFox123 1,379
I doubt his trainer would be foolish enough to put him in there with a fractured eye socket and I doubt it would be allowed either by the BBBofC. AKA-BRINDLE 879
BBBofC are looking into it...so doubt they made the whole fractured eye socket thing up..
DogFox123 1,379
BBBofC are looking into it...so doubt they made the whole fractured eye socket thing up.. A fighter and his team have got to notify them on any medical conditions or injuries before they sign the fight off, no way in hell would an experienced coach send him in with that injury.
kanny 21,535
You can tell by the picture there's a problem with his eye he's definitely got a lamp out so on that he was right to pull the fight ....but as for getting in the ring with even a suspected injury of that type don't say great things about the people around him.....either way I hope he makes a full recovery. DogFox123 1,379
I understand that a fighter needs to do all he can to have the best career possible for himself but nowadays it's too much about the money and not about the honour. Fighters have too much control in these times, avoiding certain fights, pulling out with little niggles, undeservingly getting title shots, the list goes on. I know these things have happened in the past but today it's beyond a joke. I wish we could go back to having one belt to rule them all and see the best face the best on a constant basis not every 5 year or so...
