ive enjoyed the summer, nice to get a bit of sun on your back, im always up early, so plonk missen round the back and soak up the early morning sun, but ive had enough now and im set up for winter, I cannot begin to describe the feeling I get on a bitterly cold day, getting me n the dog n stinkers ready for a mooch, hunting has been my way of life for nearly 60 years,its in my dna, all this shit about a shivering whippet, ive said this before, the only time ive seen her shiver is in anticipation of getting out doing what she loves, I post now of my outiings, and I will be here come depths of winter posting, and the pictures will come. ive just the 1 dog, and she gives me her all, daytime bunnies aren't easy prey, so no big bags here, even when I ferret I don't use nets, if I come home with a couple of bunnies, im happy, the dog is six year old now, and I would readily have bred from her, but in those 6 years, shes had only 2 seasons, roll on winter

2 dogs there Gaz but olny 1 gets run at a time and in the day.

 

Do you only let them off the lead when you spot something then? Or can you call one of them off if a hare gets up?

Do you keep them on the lead all summer for that matter?

I know what you mean but accidents happen and it's bad enough having the real police without the THL police too.

Spot on. Mine are off lead from January to December. Accidents happen. I try to stay away from places where I'm pretty much guaranteed a run. But even so accidents happen daytime mooching like you say.
