MickC 1,825
This fight has been confirmed for 19th November. Should be an interesting fight between two top tier undefeated fighters, the winner of this fight should arguably be the no 1 pound for pound fighter in the World. Can Ward outsmart Kovalev or will Kovalevs power be to much for Ward ? Who wins this one ? Edited August 7, 2016 by MickC
dogmad riley 1,348
Ward for me he is a fantastic boxer and will be too good for kovalev.

gnasher16 31,371
Wouldnt like to guess who would come out on top but has the potential for a genuinely good contest.
South hams hunter 8,986
Ward if it goes the distance but then could also see kovalev stopping him. Certainly a date for the diary
MickC 1,825
Kovalev is a monster puncher but will he be able to get to Ward who is a very good boxer. Wards style is also going for him in that he likes to fight right in the pocket which will suit him against Kovalev. Kovalev did not look too good against Chilemba last time out saying he had been ill. Looking forward to this fight and Beterbiev the other Russian KO monster who has two wins over Kovalev in the amateurs will be waiting for the winner.
Silversnake 1,099
Hard one to pick, how boxing should be. I would say ward on points.
DogFox123 1,379
Both have great boxing skills but Ward is a master spoiler, Kovalev is the bigger puncher but I don't think he has the best of chins. It's a real 50/50 fight, can't pick a winner...
dark-destroyer-85 636
The making of a great fight look forward to this

Would have preferd to of seen Ward-v-Golovkin and Kovalev-v-Stevenson a shame those matches couldnt be made...watching Ward up at Light Heavy against Barrera and Brand i dont think he will have the power at LH to stop Kovalev...my way of thinking is if Barrera can land then Kovalev will stop him...whatever it should be a good fight and fair play to both fighters for making it happen

It was funny after he beat Pascal when he called him "Adonis Chickenson". Wards style is so effective at cancelling out offensive fighters but Kovalev is also an under rated boxer. Should be more fights like this instead of all these Title holders avoiding each other. Fair play to Ward and Kovalev for wanting to be Great and not avoiding each other. gnasher16 31,371
Im sure some of you lads watch a lot more of these foreign fighters than i do i think ive only seen these 2 fight a few times each but stylistically if Kovalev tries to force the fight like he did in the fights ive seen him in before he,s likely to get beaten Ward has a good boxing brain and will walk him onto shots but again i havent seen enough of either to pick a winner.
