In my experience it's the middle class or new money that are the worst.

My brother was a labourer for a builder and worked at a mega rich eccentric blokes house . His family was loaded . Think he gave him 50 odd quid on a Friday once because my brother told him he was off to see a band in a pub in the night

When I was landscaping and gardening we did all sorts the council house grannies and the old money estates were always very good.. Cups of tea and bacon buttys ect but you wouldn't get a sniff of the suburban middle class or the new money mansions.

It's like when you get an Indian take a way delivered in the winter that comes to £50.01and the paki will stand there till he freezes to death waiting for the penny......lol lol

They always tell me not to worry about the change, I think they just don't like you pal

Might have something to with your habit of answering the door in your Klan robes :whistling:

It's well worth a penny to watch them die ! :)

I do a bit of work for all walks of life, from £400(and then some) a roll wallpaper to walloping a toilet out in maggy, now I don't drink tea or coffee but I know where I get offered more drinks.......

I treat people as I find em, I don't discuss my politics or religion (or lack) with customers, I'm an expert at biting my lip!

We all aspire to better ourselves but I like to think I treat everyone the same.

I worked for a guy a few years ago,he had a real hard upbringing, single parent mother, small dingy flat, ended up a very wedged up chap, million euro house on the outskirts of barcelona and very, very generous, used to give us 3000 euros expenses a month on top of our wage.I have also worked for someone in surrey who was born into cash, penny pincher and wouldnt give you the steam off his shit without wanting a receipt in return.I think its all down to individuals though, some generous, others are tight, its just how it is.

Lesson I learned years ago. I used to deliver milk when I was a kid and we'd go round collecting the money on a Friday night. In the nice estates with the big posh houses you earned very little in tips, I remember once a well known local millionaire waiting for me to run about 100yds to the van and back in the pissin rain for 8P. On the council estates, and in houses that looked as though they needed every penny they had, you'd do much better. Much friendlier folk too, who'd often tell me to 'just keep the change son'.

I guess you don't get rich by giving your money away..., but keeping it all to yourself does make you seem a bit of a wanker. That's why I'm a tipper to this day.., and skint?
