Surely only one reason to keep a pretty one too?

The word Cur gets used differently in different disciplines.

To a follower of hounds a cur is anything other than a pure hound and in Gamedog circles a cur is a dog that's not game.

That's why you'll often hear of EBTs referred to as hard mouthed curs.

you say you are a follower of hounds so indeed a patterdale is a cur also im with you now thanks for clearing that up.
