School Calls Police After Pupil Looks At Ukip Website

Recommended Posts

Are public sector workers as left wing as we think they are or are they pretending to be just to fit in with what's expected of them by their pc bosses?

That teacher needs sacking for wasting police time and the copper who "didn't think it was right" should be put on desk duties stapling things. Who cares what he thinks is right? It's either an offence, in which case he should have charged the kid with something, or it isn't, in which case he should have kept his stupid mouth shut.

The police are there to enforce the law, not their opinions.

George orwells 1984 springs to mind ,we are all being monitored by the thought police , the teacher should be sacked and the police for wasting tax payers money

If the kid got in trouble for looking up a site supporting Muslims or gays or something deemed pc there would be an outrage, it is time to give them some back, particularly the parties involved should jump up and down and demand kids should have the right to view their sites, get the teacher and copper disciplined, etc. Blow it right out of proportion! Not just this case but EVERY CHANCE. soon people will learn to be careful to unjustly attack ukip, edl, etc ideals just for the sake of it because it will be too much trouble, right now it seems to be open slather and if this is allowed to continue alot of people will not get behind the parties who otherwise might.

I agree the kid done nothing wrong in looking at the UKIP & EDL websites..., and that both the fcukwit deputy head who reported him to the police, and the copper who spoke told his dad that "we don't think it's right" that his boy looked at the UKIP website, have overstepped the mark and should be disciplined..., particularly the copper.

Not sure it's evidence that we have a "pervasive left wing culture" amongst public sector workers though. Some of you get awfully easily excited

Having been a public sector worker in several fields, over the years, I can tell you that teachers, social workers and the like are very left-leaning. The most active political groups among these workers are usually the Labour party and SWP. During it's day, Militant had a large representation among what we used to call council workers, where nearly every union rep belonged to Militant, Socialist Worker or one of the incarnations of the Communist Party, and support was high for groups like the old Anti Nazi League and the Anti Poll Tax campaign.

I worked in a London housing office completely infiltrated by Militant, and where their union influence had a real stranglehold. Later, I worked for a housing charity that had big membership of SWP, up to the highest levels.

The left's influence may have dwindled a bit since the heyday of "Loony Left council's", but their are certain jobs which seem to attract left-thinkers.......jobs like teacher, social worker, housing officer

First hand experience, mate !

Long time now since I was at school but I remember there were one or two teachers that were obviously of a socialist persuasion..., we'd have called them commies back then, and some that were obviously the complete opposite. Most teachers I couldn't have guessed what they were..., or have given less of a fcuk. Have things changed so much that you actually believe there's a pervasive culture brainwashing our kids..., or are you maybe just being a tad melodramatic?

Since the miners in the 80's, the demise since of the UK's big industries, and the systematic erosion of workers rights and conditions, the unions are finished in the private sector. The public sector is really the last stronghold that trade unionism has, but it's coincidence more than some conspiracy. And labour voting socialists working in social work, social housing and charities..., who'da thunk it

If you feel so strongly about it why don't you start your own school, after all if it's good enough for the mussies....

You'll be head of course, and I'd maybe suggest the following THL members to help get you started...

History - Charlie Caller (specialist area the Norman conquests..., gets wound up on pretty much anything and anyone since then)

Religious Ed. - Ragamup (not that au fait with Christianity, but will quote from the Koran all day long)

English - Maxhardcore (spelling's maybe not a strong point..., but his fiction is second to none)

Modern Studies - Jacknife (probably the most balanced political stance on THL with a comprehensive understanding of the world's social, political and economic affairs)

French - BGD (must've picked up a bit in Calais by now)

Maths - Me (I know that 2 + 2 = 4..., a good many on here don't, so make up an answer that gives them a reason to whinge about someone doing them wrong  )

I wouldn't be allowed to start a school, or even work in one, in any capacity !

Most of my opinions would be in conflict with the soppy, leftist multicultural agenda that seems to be gaining the ascendancy.

So, I would be labeled a "racist" (not true) or even a "Nazi" (an accusation I would strenuously oppose), pilloried in the media and banned from any position of trust or authority !

Freedom of speech doesn't seem to allow for much freedom......

Ahh Moley I am flattered that you put me at the top of the list, and regard me as a worthy candidate for history teacher, and you are correct my specialist area is pre and post Norman conquest English history, you see Moley, what winds me up is the fact that it seems to be de-rigour to blame the worlds ills on the British empire, and the evil white race in particular, the Jews continually milk the holocaust story, the Negro's slavery, and on and on, trying to get us to apologise for the sins of our forbears, but what about the ethnic cleansing, murder, carried out against the English by the Normans during the harrying of the north, even William the b*****d on his death bed asked for forgiveness over the evil he had done to the English, should we be asking for an apology from Normandy? I accept it is a long time ago, but I bet in 900 years from now the jews will still be dining out on the holocaust story.

Like somebody mentioned before, if the kid was looking at the Unite Against Fascism website, the Green Party, or even the Labour Party, the teacher wouldn't have said a word, and probably even given praise. It's the typical liberal-lefty attitude of believing in "free speech" to the full, unless it's something they don't agree with, then it's "racist", "homophobic", "sexist" or "bigoted". Sadly there are too many of this kind, sucking the life out of the public sector, particularly in the teaching trade, where political correctness is normally at it's worst, and a teacher could risk their job with just a slip of the tongue. The upper-echelons of the teaching trade you'll find are normally the most squeaky-clean, spineless, politically correct people you can get, like the waste of space mentioned above, so it's no wonder things like this are happening.

If the headteacher had anything about them, they'd give the teacher a disciplinary for their massive over-reaction and the wasting of both school and police resources, given that the kid wasn't doing anything illegal, but clearly the teacher is daft enough to believe that UKIP are extremists. I would put money on the teacher being a young woman. As for the copper, personally I think he should be on a fizzer for acting like they did, particularly how the said that "it's not right" that the kid was on the UKIP site.

Then again, when you look at the videos from Britain First, or EDL, it's funny how the police always seem to be protecting the "peaceful" protests by Muslim groups, even those campaigning for Sharia Law. All Britain First have to do is breathe, and out come the batons. It's disgusting.
