Thought it was common knowledge dogs don't need carbs and more fat.

Plenty of people are pumping pasta and brown bread into there dogs.not many mention feeding plenty of fat

I get all the fat I want free off the butchers plus offcuts, waste etc. It's an Arab butcher who as soon as he found out Bron had saluki in him started to treat him everytime with a chunk of beef or some other morsel. The dog fuuckin loves going to buy meat for some reason

ye, and everytime people suggest increasing fat (including myself) we often get told that it don't work lol good information though n good find. Simplest way to increase fat and cheap is lard. Every month I buy about 8 blocks of fat, to add in to feed if the meat Iv feeding is low in fat.

Recently got my hands on piles of fatty lamb cuts etc so with that I won't add lard.

Iv fallen for the trap before of adding carbs and never noticed any difference, suppose everyone tries it just "to see" , placebo effect ALOT of the time with owners.

Sure cars increase chance of bloat, dehydration and over heating. Not to mention dull coats n decreases stamina.

Sure it's been mentioned on here more than once that dogs get their energy from fat not carbs, some folk take things on board while others don't.

If there's a good test of a dogs capabilities its got to be pulling a sledge, i doubt any other dog ever comes close? And in very low temperatures, these people know the distances, weights, and they're measuring oxygen take up/ carbon dioxide production.............Its got to be a bit daft to ignore what they're saying at best?

I'm adding a bit of lard to the meat/biscuit, started a few weeks back, i can see a difference.

They surely are very experienced when it comes to dogs truther.

And the sled dogs are like you say in a different league altogether.

I remember giving my last dog a salmon head, he didn't know what to do with it at first but soon polished it off once he got into it, his coat looked and felt beautiful afterwards.

There was a dog food from canada called Origen, i think, that was a dried food with high protein and no carbs, it was a bit pricey but i felt like it was a good alternative if i didn't have any meat for him, he didn't used to like it all that much tho, can't blame him really, bit boring those brown blogs of dry-ness
