My lads first season and he seems to be picking things up fine. He's a bit of pain if I'm out with other dogs, especially ferreting but I can put this down to his age!! He lamps well, happy with his retrieve and he's getting more steady when we are out ferreting. He's been easy to train and is also a cracking pet. He's head and shoulders above any lurcher a I have owned but for some reason I don't feel we have bonded as well. Either way I'm looking forward to the next couple of months and next season.

I k ow what you mean I have a stronger bond with my older dog which never seems to get on my nerves and just seems to do everything right but the pup will test your patience, and when I meet up with a Freibd for a lamp or mooch he gets real excited and sort of over powering where some dogs have went for him
